Word and Sentence Edit 

​

This edit tidies up your text and focuses on two particular things.

Ensuring all your word choices are optimal and your grammar is correct.

Ensures your sentence structure and phrasing are correct.

 

Unlike many other languages, English is an analytic language, it relies on word order not inflection to impart meaning, if the words are not ordered correctly, the meaning can be lost, worse, you can say the opposite of what you mean to. 

It does not have gendered words, you would not walk over to a table and put your bag on him. Possession is often indicated differently. The object is dependent upon the owner and indicated by one of English's few inflections: possessive s ('s) e.g. my Mum's car, not as an independent object belonging to e.g. the car belonging to my mother.

This takes the Word and Sentence Edit one step further and addresses the structure of your content.

​

Written English has a specific formula for imparting information that first language English speakers unconsciously reference when reading.

 

It applies to paragraphs and the work entire.

​

 Introduce  – build upon – conclude.

  Because:

 Written English prioritises clarity in conveying the content over the content itself.

 

In other words, if it is not written clearly, and the reader cannot follow your point easily, it is written badly.

​

This edit brings your content in line with this convention, ensuring your content is structured for clarity, your sentences are arranged properly, your grammar is correct, and your word choices are optimal.
